Jérôme Paillard and Jonathan Wolf attended the annual filmfestivals.com wine tasting reception for festival directors held at FilmHedge Terrace - 57 la Croisette in partnership with FILMHEDGE: the film fund which is currently the talk of the town, after they announced their 100M$ new line of credit during Winston Baker Film Finance Forum.
For both heads of Cannes and AFM Markets this was the last "official" Cannes in office. Both had announced a new stage in their life and carreer as they depart their position after their 2022 edition.
Bruno Chatelin filmfestivals.com founder and Jon Gosier FilmHedge Founder and CEO hosted a warm reception with a climax when Jerôme and Jonathan received a tribute to their unique contribution to the industry.
The first one was a bottle of CHATEAU BRUNO, "just to make you think of us when you next drink this special bottle of Graves de Vayre" quoted Bruno.
The second one, a one sheet art poster : a spectacular rendering of this year's Cannes poster, interpreted for the occasion by local french street artist PAB. Notably the art questionned on top of the poster "your last Canne s?" We believe everyone knows the answer to that question as we know we will continue to meet them on the festival circuit.
A big THANK YOU to those who could join us in saluting Jonathan and Jérôme during such a busy Cannes. Looking forward to seeing everyone next year.
Carlo Chatrian: Berlinale Artistic Director and Bruno Chatelin
Dear Festival programmers: I am really proud to share with the festival community and our network these amazing films which I have selected for festival consideration. Winners! I believe each of them has a story that can change the way we see life and will resonate on the circuit.

Kevin Box has always known exactly what he intends to do with his life. In his words, "I want to have a conversation with people now and hundreds of years into the future."
As an artist, Kevin has been fascinated by the evolution of "lost wax casting" to create bronze sculptures and he spent many of his early years being mentored by other successful sculptors. Through his own R&D, he developed a unique signature by “unfolding” origami and casting these beautiful patterns into museum quality wall hangings. "ORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN" traces the career arc of Kevin and his partner/wife Jennifer as they now continue to create multiple traveling exhibitions of their artwork. Over the past decade, their unique sculptures have been viewed all over the country by millions of people. "ORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN" is an Artfilm, a Love Story, and an inspiration for all by showing what is possible…just starting with a simple piece of paper!

USA July 2021 51 minutes 48 seconds
Much of our population currently lives with hopeful delusions about climate change. These delusions, many of which are built in by evolution, hamper our ability to meaningfully address the problem.
Our brains evolved to solve short-term challenges for our survival. Climate change is a long-term challenge to our survival. Can we bridge the gap between these modes of thinking?
Emmy-nominated actor David Morse narrates the brutally honest 12th hour with insight from noted evolutionary biologists, climate scientists, cognitive researchers and psychologists.
Visionary thinkers like Peter Russell, Dr. Paul Piff, Dr. Kari Norgaard and dozens of the brightest minds in academia lay out an unflinching look at mankind: our past, our abilities, our shortcomings and what may be humankind's final destination.
If we have any hope to survive the changes we’ve locked in to our climate, we need to be honest with ourselves and our limitations. The 12th Hour lays out our biases so that we may overcome them.
Former NATO Supreme Allied Commander, General Wesley Clark and his son Wes Clark Jr. take us on a journey through the complicated realities of our financial system and its profound exposure to climate change. Hot Money outs the whole game, the whole charade, the whole crapshoot of the money system with all the humor and intelligence of a New Yorker cartoon. Combined with the wisdom of international business experts and academics, Hot Money is rich with historical context. It severs the knot of economic and political forces that may lead to societal collapse.

Documentary by Daizy Gedeon - second feature documentary Australia june 2021 - 90 minutes - Cannes "Movie That Matter Award"
ENOUGH! Lebanon’s Darkest Hour follows Australian-Lebanese filmmaker Daizy Gedeon’s personal and independent introspection into how her ancestral homeland, the place her family was forced to flee in the 1970s because of the Civil War, has ended up in a state of complete catastrophe. It is a story of awakening in which Daizy is forced to abandon her idealism about Lebanon and face the cold, harsh truth about the country’s dark underbelly which is its most sinister enemy.
Daizy prosecutes the case against the corrupt political class which has reduced a proud people to beg for garbage collection instead of greatness and negotiate potholes rather than peace.
ENOUGH! is the plea and the prayer, the feeling and fierce determination of the 4.5 million Lebanese in Lebanon as well as the 16 million members of the Lebanese diaspora scattered around the world, whose hearts continue to bleed for a homeland they are desperate to return to and so deeply want to believe in...once again.

An eye-opening documentary, The Creepy Line reveals the stunning degree to which society is manipulated by Google and Facebook and blows the lid off the remarkably subtle – hence powerful – manner in which they do it.
The Creepy Line is a title culled from the words of former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, when during a 2010 interview he explained Google’s code of conduct: “The Google policy on a lot of things is to get right up to the creepy line and not cross it.”
However, as Dr. Robert Epstein explains in the film, “Google crosses the creepy line every day”.
Offering first-hand accounts, scientific experiments and detailed analysis, The Creepy Line examines what is at risk when these two tech titans have free reign to utilize the public’s most private and personal data to manipulate society.
There is no question that the “creepy line” is getting ever-creepier, and that the tech giants have crossed it.
