Un film sur lequel j'interviens pour France Télévision Distribution en mettant en place une stratégie de communication virale online via facebook myspace et fest21.com.
Le synopsis du film:
A new gold rush is sweeping through the Amazon rainforest where scores of women and men hunt for nuggets and specks of gold. But this race for gold is bringing on the destruction of one of the last earthly paradises, the world’s largest tropical forest, the lungs of our planet, where everything and anything can be paid in gold.
As a result, a gold ingot cycle has developed—with its batch of insolvents, prostitutes, godfathers, traffickers, whether in French Guiana, Brazil or Suriname. Gold has brought upon disease, mercury, crime, alcoholism. Gold has turned creeks and rivers into dumping grounds.
This cycle is that of the destruction of men by men. Whereas the Amazonian rainforest releases 300 tons of gold each year, it receives 120 tons of mercury. An uneven trade: treasure against poison. And as the backdrop, all sorts of traffics are arising: people, weapons, drugs.
In the depths of this borderless jungle also lies the tragedy of the Wayanas, a Native American tribe from Guiana, who are being poisoned by mercury, the element essential to gold mining. The Wayanas are doomed by a looming disappearance. Congenital malformations have already been observed in children. The elderly are developing neurological disorders and cancers. Along with the outrage that is mercury comes another massacre of Indians.
The New Eldorado is enduring one of the world’s worst globalization disasters.

MYSPACE S ALLIE AUX MAJORS DE LA MUSIQUE
My Space, premier réseau communautaire musical , crée une joint-venture baptisée My Space Music avec trois majors du disque, Sony BMG Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group et Warner Music Group. L'objectif de cette association est de proposer de nouveaux services et de nouveaux modèles de monétisation autour de la musique : écoute en streaming, téléchargement sans verrous numériques, places de concert, produits dérivés, sonneries pour téléphone mobile, etc. My Space, qui revendique 110 millions de membres et 30 millions de visiteurs uniques mensuels, cherche ainsi à concurrencer Itunes, le service de musique en ligne d'Apple.
MySpace co-founder and CEO Chris DeWolfe called the deal to create MySpace Music "a historic step" for the music biz in its long struggle to come to grips with the digital era. MySpace Music will be jointly owned by the four partners and have a dedicated management team that will report to DeWolfe and a board comprising reps from Sony BMG, UMG and WMG.
"This is the first time the music companies have gotten together and said, 'We're going to do something really different,' " DeWolfe said. "We believe that this is really a historic step in the music industry redefining itself, both with the partnership and the product (to come). There's no other product on the Internet that looks anything like this."
