With almost 600 events across the city, there is a chance you might have missed one or two world premieres, live performances, compelling talks, or celebrity guests during the 2024 Tribeca Festival.
So, here's what happened:
Opening Night with Diane von Furstenberg
The festivities began with the world premiere of Diane von Furstenberg: Woman in Charge, a captivating documentary recounting the life of the New York City fashion icon and notorious woman in charge, DVF. See her glamorous portrait on Hulu on June 25.
Game, Set, Match
Federer: Twelve Final Days drew crowds of fans attempting to glimpse the tennis legend before he introduced his revealing documentary, and Serena Williams discussed the making of her docu-series, In the Arena: Serena Williams, right after it debuted. Catch the premiere on ESPN on July 10.
Reunions & Retrospectives: Sopranos, The Brat Pack, & Spielberg
We commemorated The Sopranos’ 25th anniversary with the premiere of WISE GUY David Chase and The Sopranos, and reunited the iconic cast. Some might say ‘The Brat Pack is back’ after seeing BRATS, the documentary by Andrew McCarthy on the John Hughes era of 80s teen movies. A special screening of Steven Spielberg's feature film directorial debut, The Sugarland Express, was followed by a live conversation with the director himself.
It’s All Fun and Games
From four days of live music at Baby's All Right to free playable game demos at Pier 57, this year's program offered something for everyone, everywhere. For the first time, we partnered with Mercer Labs to curate our Immersive program at the unique museum — and the captivating exhibit will stay open through July 29.
And The Award Goes To…
We honored the best of the Fest across all categories with our Tribeca Festival Competition and asked festivalgoers to share their favorites, too — see the Audience Award winners.
All Things De Niro
The Festival closed out with a weekend-long celebration of the Tribeca Co-founder and NY Icon, Robert De Niro. Fans watched the biggest De Niro films the way they were meant to be seen, immersed themselves in his legacy (literally), and heard from the man himself in conversations on film and fatherhood.
Exclusive Access for Tribeca Members
Not only did our Tribeca Members get early access to Festival passes and ticket packages, but they were also treated to a sneak peek of Despicable Me 4. Become a Tribeca Member to enjoy our exclusive programming year-round — like the upcoming private screening of A Quiet Place: Day One — and receive special access at next year’s Tribeca Festival.
