SR Socially Relevant Film Festival New York's 12th annual edition is underway. Following a successful 11th edition, which saw many winners and over 750 films screened to date

SR Socially Relevant™ Film Festival is pleased to announce that submissions for its upcoming 2025 edition, #SRFF2025, are now open. This hybrid event provides a unique opportunity for filmmakers worldwide to showcase their socially engaged and relevant works from March 11 to 16, 2025, in person, in New York City, and online afterward. Submissions are accepted on FilmFreeway.

SR Socially Relevant™ Film Festival NY focuses exclusively on socially relevant human interest stories that raise awareness of social problems through the powerful medium of cinema. To date, SRFF has screened over 750 films from 40 countries. SRFF 2025 will mark its twelfth edition. SRFF is committed to promoting films that provoke thought and foster dialogue on critical social issues such as social justice, human rights, the environment, BIPOC films and filmmakers, women and girls, aging, and more.

Filmmakers are invited to submit feature films, documentaries, shorts, animation films, and unproduced feature film scripts for competition. Selected works will be screened in person and online for a diverse audience of film enthusiasts, industry professionals, activists, and the general public. Networking events and workshops complete the event. The next deadline is June 14, 2024.
