Ex Oriente Series 1st Session Look Back


We are excited to share the highlights from the first Ex Oriente Series 2024 session, which took place at the end of June during the Sunny Side of the Doc in La Rochelle, France. From June 23 to 25, directors and producers of five selected documentary series engaged in enriching sessions, workshops, and individual consultations with renowned experts such as leading tutor Ruth Reid, Chris Westendorp, Catherine Chevassu, Malin Hüber, Nicolas Deschamps, and Samuel Joyce. The event provided a fantastic platform for learning and networking, making it a memorable experience for all participants.

Meet the Tutuors for Ex Oriente Film 2nd Session




We are thrilled to announce the confirmed guest tutors for the 2nd session of the Ex Oriente Film! This October we will be joined by: producers Sigrid Jonsson Dyekjær, Christilla Huillard-Kann, and Ümit Uludag; film editor Yaël Bitton; and sales agent Anna Berthollet.


Both training programs, Ex Oriente Feature Docs and Ex Oriente Series, will be held in Leipzig, marking the second year of our partnership with DOK Leipzig.
