RIDM and Forum RIDM unveil the new visual identity of their upcoming 2024 editionThe Montreal International Documentary Festival (RIDM) and Forum RIDM are proud to unveil a visual identity that’s as vibrant as ever for their 2024 edition, to be held this November.
For a third year running, graphic designer Juliette Moal was chosen to design the festival’s visual identity. Building on her work from the previous two editions, Juliette has succeeded in creating a colourful, immersive universe. The notion of movement woven into the very creation of this new identity reveals an undulating environment, imbuing the visuals with a 3D effect. The luminous, contrasting hues, characteristic of RIDM's two most recent editions and firmly anchored in festivalgoers' imaginations, reflect the bold choice of films and the diversity of themes explored in the festival's documentary programming.
‘’For a third consecutive year, the Montreal International Documentary Festival is proud to present a visual identity designed by Juliette Moal that reinforces our established aesthetic signature. In 2024, we continue to celebrate the spirit of documentary cinema through colourful imagery that captivates and inspires our audiences. This visual continuity reflects our commitment to stability and quality, while reinforcing the distinctive character of our ever-evolving festival.’’ - explained Marc Gauthier, RIDM’s Executive Director.
To mark its 20th anniversary, Forum RIDM entrusted graphic designer Kaïla Curcio with the adaptation of Juliette Moal's design for its new visual identity.
Headquarters
True to tradition, the Cinémathèque québécoise will once again serve as RIDM’s headquarters. It will operate as a gathering spot where festivalgoers can attend screenings, take part in a wide range of activities, and dance the night away.
Press Conference
RIDM and Forum RIDM’s full programs will be unveiled at a press conference on Wednesday, October 30 and announced simultaneously online.
