Opening night to the 2024 Festival of Cinema NYC is next Friday August 2
Be sure to purchase tickets to what is sure to be the most exciting 10-day event in Forest Hills this summer!
This year's film festival features over 110 screenings of feature films and short films by emerging filmmakers from all over the world, including local filmmakers from Forest Hills. Movies of all genres from Documentary to Drama and from Comedy to Horror, will be screened daily at the Regal UA Midway in Forest Hills, Queens. Attendees can engage with filmmakers in audience Q&A's following every screening.
The 2024 Festival of Cinema NYC also offers visitors the opportunity to attend nearly a dozen workshops, seminars, and special guest presentations.
This year's presentations include a 2-day event with the Make A Film Foundation. Panels will include an intimate conversation with the 2024 Jury, and a seminar with alumni from Sundance and Cannes on film festival strategies. The Forest Hills library will once again be hosting staged readings from our Top 10 Un-Produced Script competition and a special workshop presented by FoHi Improv!

The 2024 Festival of Cinema NYC opens up with the short whimsical musical GROOMED & BRIDLED, followed by High School rock musical OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE.
Groomed and Bridled (Short film)
A parody of the song "I'm Just A Girl Who Cain't Say No" from the musical Oklahoma by Rogers & Hammerstein. Based on true stories of men who sleep with men, sometimes with their wives' knowledge and sometimes not
Out of My Comfort Zone (Feature Film)
Josh and Rachel's close friendship is tested when a cyberbully with a hidden past threatens to expose secrets in this coming of age musical about finding the courage to be who you are.
After the screening, the celebration continues at the afterparty! All ticket holders and attendees will receive free drinks!

Join us on Wednesday July 31st for our Queens Networking and Fundraising event at California Pizza Kitchen located inside the Atlas Mall in Glendale, Queens. Meet the festival organizers and filmmakers who will be in attendance starting at 6pm. During this event 20% of your meal’s price will be donated back to Festival of Cinema Inc.
